Named as the diving heaven by locals, Sumilon Island is a tiny but rich island located at the southeastern tip of the Municipality of Oslob in the province of Cebu. This 24-hectare luxuriant island could be your next Philippine destination to explore!
Traveling solo is truly liberating. I am no pro solo traveler but I try my best to share what I know in the hopes to help and inspire other aspiring solo travelers.
I’m pretty sure one of the deciding factors why you are going to Bali is because of the photos you see online. Most of us are very visual that when we see something artsy and pretty we want to try it too and that’s okay. Who would want to settle for a sketchy spot, right?
There was no specific destination. Zambales, Baler, Baguio, Bataan, Ilocos, La Union, these were my options. But my good friend and travel buddy, Mae, was pretty fixed with the idea of going to La Union.
I was amazed to find more or less 110,000.00 KRW left in my wallet after settling down at Incheon Airport and waiting for my flight back to Cebu. That’s more than 5,000 if converted to Peso.

Last February, I went back to one of my favorite islands in the Philippines – Siargao. It has changed in so many ways since the first time I have set foot on the island. I still have that great amount of love towards it but it’s really getting tighter as days go by.
Disclaimer: This post may not be applicable to all travelers. For those who prefer doing their own itineraries, this write-up might be of some use to you. I just thought of sharing how I do my itineraries.
If I’m asked why I travel, my answer is simple ‘I travel to experience’. And with this experience, I learn, as the saying goes “Adventure is the best way to learn”.
I was really thinking how to share with you our day-to-day itinerary, not that I made one, but just to give you an idea of how you can spend your awesome time in Siargao… BUT! I can’t think of a ‘structured’ itinerary for you to refer to. All you have to know is that when you’re in Siargao BEACH AND CHILL is the way to go.
