This year has been nothing but full of surprises.

Although I started this year with a little bit of fever and a whole lot of cough, I am really happy that everything is slowly going back to how it was pre-pandemic — travels, gatherings, events, etc…

And speaking of travel, restrictions are slowly getting lifted and flights are getting more frequent which means I can finally resume trip planning, go out more and share more of what I love — my love for explorations!

For those who are new here, I am a self-proclaimed photo enthusiast and I originally started this blog as a photo diary. I used to like the idea of being the one behind the lens. I still do up until today but now I also enjoy the occasional exposure.

From my old and boring photo blog entries circa 2014, I have discovered my love for travel circa 2016. I started sharing more of my explorations, my personal travel experiences, tips and tricks, and even my random thoughts. I never really thought of blogging or creating content as a chore or as a “job” because it’s something I enjoy doing.

As an introvert, I cannot for the life of me start a conversation with a stranger but let’s talk about travel, photography, or anything related to creatives and we can talk for days on end.

So what surprises am I talking about?

I got nominated at the Best Cebu Blogs Awards under the Photo Blog Category and not only that, I also got nominated as the Visayas Champion for this year’s BlogaFest. It’s my first time getting nominated as a blogger and content creator. This came as a surprise because I never really expected to get these nominations.

I am truly grateful to those who believed in me and supported my journey. Getting recognized as a blogger is already a win for me and I’m honored to be nominated alongside the ‘veterans’ in the blogging industry.

SO What is Best Cebu Blogs Awards?

Best Cebu Blogs Awards (BCBA) is a yearly awarding ceremony of Cebu-based bloggers. BCBA is the only and pioneering award giving body that recognizes the existence of blogs, bloggers and social media influencers or movers in Cebu’s blogosphere. It acknowledges the existence and importance of Cebu Bloggers in the Visayas and in the Philippines. BCBA aims to recognize the finest blogs by Cebuanos and Cebu-based bloggers which are at par even with their foreign counterparts.

Best Cebu Blogs Awards is organized and handled by Blogger Volunteers headed by Cebu Bloggers Society Inc. Founder Mark M. Monta. Judges for the Best Cebu Blogs Awards change every year, most came from Manila, Cagayan De Oro, Ilo-ilo, General Santos, Davao, and of course, Cebu.

This year’s BCBA Awarding Night will take place on December 3, 2022, at Holiday Inn Cebu City, the awarding body’s Co-Presenter for this year’s installation.
