I really did not plan on writing about this new cafe in Cebu City but I just felt like I needed to. After all, I had a pleasant experience dining there. And with this “new normal” setup, going out and traveling has been very limited so getting a quick bite with friends is something I look forward to!

A week or two ago, we decided to visit this new cafe located at No. 12 President Aguinaldo Street in Kasambagan Cebu City. They call it Tamp Cafe & Co. It’s the sister cafe of Tazza Cafe and Patisserie which is located in Lahug, Cebu City.

I haven’t explored Tazza’s offerings but they said Tamp and Tazza offer almost the same food and drinks on their menus. The price range is reasonable, given the ambiance and the prime location. Their main courses range between 250Php and 400Php, their drinks 100Php-200Php.

Dining Experience

I really enjoyed my cup of Egg Coffee because it reminded me of Vietnam’s 8 Cafe. It tastes quite similar and it made me reminisce good memories.

The food, on the other hand, I still have to explore more since I was only able to try a few of their dishes. But so far I loved their Tuna Sandwich. The slow-cooked pot roast beef, in my opinion, still needs to be more tender. I was kind of expecting it to be softer and easier to chew. But nevertheless, it tastes okay. I like how they have huge servings!

Tamp also has a variety of desserts. They have this permanent promo wherein when you get a meal and a drink, you get to choose a dessert and pay only 1 peso or half its price. Sweet! Right?

I got myself a Yema cake but then I wasn’t able to take a photo of it because I was really full then and decided to just take it home. I super enjoyed catching up with my friend, we almost forgot about dessert.

New Normal

Tamp Cafe is an indoor cafe. When we went there, they don’t have an option for outdoor dining but I recently saw a few photos that they’ve already set up an outdoor dining area. Just like any other restaurant, they check your temperature once you go in. I haven’t noticed any contact tracing sheet or QR though. If I missed it, do let me know.
