How are you coping during this time? It’s a known fact that everybody’s having a hard time right now.
Since the Philippine government implemented the Enhanced Community Quarantine about three weeks ago, a lot of malls, stores, and business establishments have been closed. Many people were told to work at home, some were forced to take leaves, while others were left with no choice but to get temporarily suspended or worse, laid off.
This global health crisis is preventing us from doing our daily routines, eating out, meeting with friends, or going on trips. Many people are not used to staying at home but we all have to do this for our own good. This is the easiest thing we could do to help stop the rise of COVID cases in our country.
Honestly, it gets sad and boring at times. While trying to stay physically healthy, the struggle to stay mentally healthy arises. So what can we do? I’ve shared tips on my previous post on how to cope with our current situation. You can check it here.
I find it challenging to create content now, especially that I focus more on topics related to travel.
I’ve been thinking of topics to share while doing this home quarantine thing then I thought of the pending topic I was supposed to share – Best Desserts in Cebu.
Writing this blog post is equally torturing as staying at home. Hah! It’s already midnight when I started writing this. I am currently sitting on my bed imagining all the food I am going to eat when all of this is over.
And since I cannot and I prefer not to go out to grab a bite or satisfy my sweet cravings, creating this “best” list will have to do for now.
Here are some of the best desserts in Cebu that I miss the most (in no particular order)…
Disclaimer: Food preference is subjective. This list will include “MY” personal picks, not sponsored, whatsoever.

Leona’s Cakes and Pastries
One of Cebu’s veteran cakes and pastries brand, Leona’s stays on my faves list. Homebaker’s Brazo de Mercedes (or Merceditas)
Like Leona’s, Homebaker’s has been in Cebu for a really long time. It has been my go-to place when I was still in college since it’s near my school. If you’re from Cebu and you haven’t tried their Brazo, I got one question for you – Where were you? (Char)

Cafe Georg’s Choco Banana Loaf and Choco Chip Cookies
I consider Cafe Georg or Oh Georg one of Cebu’s best restaurants. Aside from good food, they also serve great desserts. Their Choco Banana Loaf and Chocolate Chip Cookie are just a few of my favorites. They also have desserts for those who are on a diet! Check them out when you get the chance!
