Where to Eat in Siargao?

Two weeks ago I went to Siargao…again.

I’ve created a list of places where you can eat when you’re on the island. Ang dami na kasing nagtatanong.

These are my current favourites.

Disclaimer: This list is obviously based on my personal preference.

1. Filibeans Espresso

It’s the best coffee place on the island. Don’t miss trying their coffee with coconut milk.

They recently launched a new drink — Tonic Espresso. It’s a crowd favourite! Very refreshing especially now that it’s summer. And don’t forget their chocolate croissant and brownies too! I looooove them.

  • Address: Harana, Tourism Rd, General Luna, Surigao del Norte
  • Open Hours: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

P.S. They open again at night, if Harana has a party. Try their Espresso Martini!

2. La Mari

If you want something fancy, go to La Mari. Ohoy! It rhymes! But really, it’s a pretty restaurant. Good food but kinda expensive.

3. Altrove Siargao

You can never go wrong with brick oven pizza.

4. Kermit Surf Resort and Restaurant

As much as I love their food, I don’t like how it has become so commercialised. You have to queue up for a minimum of 40 minutes if you want to have dinner there. Lesser people during lunch time though!

Must try: Risotto Al Tartuffe, Focaccia Pizza, Lava Cake, Eggplant Lasagna, Mojito

  • Address: Purok 5, General Luna, Siargao Island Philippines PH, General Luna, 8417
  • Contact Number: 0917 655 0548

5. Bravo Beach Resort

Still one of my favourite place to chill. Their slow cooked pork in coconut curry is still my favourite. Huuuuge serving!

  • Address: Siargao Island, Tourism Rd, General Luna, 8419 Surigao del Norte
  • Contact Number: 0999 877 8518

6. Leche Ice Cream Company

It’s a new ice cream shop inside Harana. Try their avocado ice cream, yum!

7. Arka Hayahay

Still on the list but just because I love their Hapitaya. I never go home without having a bowl.

8. Miguel’s Taqueria Y Cerveceria

YOU SHOULD TRY EVERYTHING. And don’t forget to say hi to the owner. He is very approachable. You might even get to hang out with him at one of the parties.

  • Address: Tourism Rd, General Luna, Surigao del Norte
  • Open Hours: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM

9. Kawayan Gourmand

Still my favourite pastry shop on the island. Although I noticed a little increase in their prices.

  • Address: Cloud 9, Tourism Rd, General Luna, Surigao del Norte

10. Cev Siargao

It’s Loose Keys in the morning. They offer a variety of Ceviche flavours. Their servings are huge too! My personal fave is Guyam.

Siargao has gained its popularity especially after Boracay was closed for rehabilitation. A lot has changed since. It has its pros and cons. I just hope we will always choose to do what’s better for this little paradise.

Can’t wait to see you again, isla.
