As I was searching for places to see and things to try in Taiwan, I came across Amazing Guandu. The 2017 Amazing Guandu is a flower festival which aims to promote the Summer Universiade of Taiwan while simultaneously beautifying the city. I was fascinated so I included it in our Taiwan Itinerary.

Amazing Guandu is located in a 12-hectare land between Beitou Shilin Technology Park and Zhoumei Xianzigang Park. Getting there can get pretty tricky. You might think the festival is in Guandu but it’s not. I’m not sure why they call it Amazing Guandu when it’s not even close to Guandu.

We almost got lost but thanks to our hostel staff who I was able to talk to before we left to see the sea of flowers in Amazing Guandu. She confirmed that the information I got was incorrect, so she gave me the correct address.

Address: No. 329, Section 6, Chengde Road, Beitou District, Taipei City, Taiwan 112

Nearest MTR: Zhishan Station, Exit 1

The flower festival will be open to the public for six months, from August 25, 2017 to February 2018. The park is open from 7 AM to 7 PM, free admission. Zinnia, Garden Cosmos, Yellow Cosmos, Angel Flower, and Sunflower are the five different types of flowers planted in the area.
